Jean-Marie Tarascon, scientific personality of the year 2020

The French newspaper Le Monde rewarded Prof. Jean-Marie Tarascon for marking the scientific year in 2020.

In an article published in its December 30 edition, Le Monde made a review of the scientific year by highlighting "what the Covid-19 has eclipsed". Among the international personalities cited as having marked the year, Jean-Marie Tarascon, director of RS2E, accompanies Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna, 2020 Nobel Prize in chemistry, Elisabeth Bik, Dutch microbiologist and John Horton Conway, English mathematician.

Prof. Tarascon is cited for its promising work on “smart” batteries and for obtaining the Balzan prize and the INPI Trophies (RS2E) in 2020.
