A crystal ceremony for Mathieu Morcrette

Mathieu Morcrette, research engineer in chemical analysis and LRCS director, the Laboratory of Reactivity and Chemistry of Solids, was awarded the CNRS crystal medal at the end of November in Amiens.

On November 20, 2019, the Hub of Energy hosted the CNRS Crystal Medal Ceremony at Mathieu Morcrette, director of the LRCS and member of RS2E.Each year, this distinction rewards engineers, technicians and administrative staff who, through their creativity, their technical skills and their innovative minds, contribute alongside researchers to the advancement of knowledge and the excellence of French research.

For the occasion, Christophe J. Muller, Haut-de-France CNRS regional delegate, Alexandre Legris, INC scientific deputy director,  Mohammed Benlahsen, UPJV president and Jean-Marie Tarascon, RS2E director, each gave a speech in honor of the laureate.

In 2019, 24 CNRS members were awarded a crystal medal by the institution for their works and the RS2E is proud that Mathieu Morcrette is among them. He is in charge of the pre-prototyping platform in the network that make the the interface between the academic researches and the tech transfer center (CEA, IFPEN, INERIS).

The goal is to integrate new electroactive materials inside demonstrators (batteries prototypes, supercapacitor, etc.) that are reliable and reproducible, in order to assess and demonstrate their applicative potential.
