  • Closing the gap between research and industry
Since last May, a major first happened in the field of electrochemical energy storage (supercapacitors/batteries). For the first time in France, 15 national laboratories will have direct access to pre-prototyping equipments.

  • RS2E’s fifth Biannual Meeting will be hosted by IFPEN (IFP Energies Nouvelles), a public research organization founded in 1944. IFPEN joined RS2E in 2012 as a technological research partner. IFPEN’s expertise ranges from transportation to environment and energy. At RS2E, IFPEN brings its skills in battery systems integration.
  • Since October 11, two new companies joined our Industrial Partners. Very different in both their core businesses and sizes, the two companies share a common interest for electrochemical energy storage. Their participation to our October Biannual Meeting is an opportunity to formally introduce them.
  • On Tuesday 22nd October, the ceremony of the 10th “La Recherche” awards took place at the Quai Branly museum (Paris). This year, the eponymous magazine awarded five RS2E’s researchers in the Physics category in front of 450 attendees!

  • The Picardy Regional Council and its partners are financing the construction of the new building on the campus of the Picardy - Jules Verne University (Amiens, France). More than 22 million euros will be invested to allow RS2E to keep on with its advanced researches on the future of supercapacitors and batteries in a spacious and modern lab.
